Being a leader begins with managing your personal life. As scripture says, from the
overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. This principle applies to Elevate Life Church
leaders. If we do not have control of our own lives then it can be hard to lead others.

SOCIALLY: SOCIAL AWARENESS
As a leader at Elevate Life church your life is instantly put under the microscope of public
perception and opinion. Whether we like it or not, people are continually watching us to
see how we manage both our own lives and the ministries that we are a part of. Our
personal life fuels the reputation that people perceive and it should be our goal to
maintain an outstanding reputation. I Cor. 9:19, 22-23 and Ephesians 5:3
ENVIRONMENTALLY: GROUPS WITH CHURCH PEOPLE
As we lead our ministries it is important to establish an environment that is welcoming
to everyone. Not knowing the history of each attendee we must be considerate and hold
ourselves to a higher moral standard than the average attendee. This is commonly
called the ‘Mixed Company Principle’ here at Elevate Life. It should therefore be our goal

to create an environment where everyone feels welcome and where the love of Christ is
actively being exercised. 1 Cor. 13:13 and Titus 2:7-8
