Using the intervention process as a base for their thinking, they identified 6 elements which lead to a list of 39 competencies to be acquired through a university program. While the approach used to develop the S&Gs was different, it seems, at first glance, that there is a fair amount of compatibility between the two sets of competencies. Internship and dissertaion, internship and intervention project report and memory and internship provide access to the professional corporation and meets the Canadian Standards and Guidelines for Career Development Practitioners.
