Dear Parents and/or Guardians,
This letter is to inform you that your child has shown interest in joining the Junior SADD Club.
Junior SADD is a group that is being formed by students in grades 6-8 who have shown a passion for making positive decisions.
The beliefs of this group are formulated around the ideas of making healthy choices including abstaining from drugs and alcohol, avoiding conflicts with friends and family, and promoting positive life choices. This group will be supervised by Ms. Lisa Lawrence – Student Assistance
Counselor and Prevention Educator for North Star Behavioral Health Services, and Mrs. Amy
Hayes – Middle School Guidance Counselor.
As with all clubs, there are a few ground rules that will apply for the members. These rules include the following:
*Attendance to club meetings is KEY!!
Meetings will be held after school every other Thursday from 2:25 – 3:15pm.
*Behavior
Students enrolled in the club will be held responsible for making positive decisions. In the event that a student has received 3 discipline reports, they will be removed from the club.
Students will be automatically removed if they are involved with drugs and alcohol.
*Participation
Students enrolled in this club will be required to attend club meetings and participate in club sponsored activities.
If any of the rules are broken then students will no longer be allowed to participate in the club and club activities.
