B.V.Sc and AH, passed in First Class in the year 1973, from Bombay Veterinary College,
Parel, Mumbai 400 012.
Training in Embryo Transfer Technology, at ‘IMV’, L’ aigle, France.

EXPERIENCE :
a.
Working on farms and field for last 30 years. Experience of working with a large Herd of
cattle out of which 300 are elite crossbreeds, 50 outstanding GIR cows at Shree Nasik
Panchavati Panjrapol, Nasik (SNPP) and Military Dairy Farms-30, 000 cattle heads
b.
Vast experience in Cross Breeding and Artificial Inseminations on fields in Rural Area.
Imparted Training in the same to thousands of AI Workers and Farmers.
c.
Establishment of Bull Mother Farm and Bull Production for Breeding and Frozen Semen
d.
Established Semen Freezing Laboratory at SNPP, Nasik in 1985. Experience in Cattle
Semen Processing. Experience of improvement in working of various aspects of SF Labs
e.
Established Embryo Transfer Lab at SNPP, Nasik, in the year 1987 and experienced in
planning, programming (Superovlation and Synchronization) of Embryo recipients and
donors, Embryo Flushing, Embryo Evaluation and handling in the Laboratory, Embryo
Freezing Thawing and Transfer. Was operating as Project Manager.

Preparation of courses, course work and literature for distance education on Dairy
VARIOUS PROJECTS IMPLEMENTED AT SNPP, NASIK:
1. SEMEN FREEZING LABORATORY:
Established the Semen Freezing Laboratory and Sperm Station including planning,
creation of infrastructure and facilities, in the year 1985, to utilize the best available germplasm
for the betterment of the Indian Dairy Farmers.
2. EMBRYO TRANSFER CENTRE:
Established and created the infrastructure and facilities for Embryo Transfer Project, in
the year 1987, with the Financial Assistance of Dept of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and
Technology, Govt of India, in Technical Collaboration with NDDB, Anand and has successfully
run the Centre.
3. BULL MOTHER FARM:
Recognized by NDDB, Anand, since 1988 and it supplies the bull calves to the various Sperm
Stations of different states of the Country.
4. REARING OF GIR CATTLE:
Gir is the Pride of Dairy Cattle of the Country. Breeding / Rearing of Gir cattle as foundation
stock at SNPP, Nasik. Strengthening of the on going project since 1985. Tried Selection, AI and
Embryo Transfer Technology to preserve this beautiful indigenous breed.
5. GOPALAN (DAIRY CATTLE REARING) TRAINING COURSES:
Ongoing Farmers’ Training Programme for seven days, at SNPP was strengthened.
Previously this Programme was free training with lodging and boarding for the farmers and
dairymen. Now the Govt Agencies are funding for the same. For this Training Programme,
Farmers from various State Govt Departments / Agencies are deputed for training. Until now
more than 14,000 trainees have sought advantage of this scheme.
Attended programmes and given lectures to more than 1,00,000 farmers at field level in
various states. Various charts, models, colour slides / transparencies and literature is prepared on
various aspects of training.
6. TRAINING AND REFRESHER’S COURSES FOR TECHNICAL STAFF:
Arranged Seminars, Training and Refresher’s Courses of the various State Govt
Departments like AH / Dairy, Dairy Co-operatives, Rural Development. Until now more than 3,500
Officers are trained in AI, Frozen Semen, Synchronized Breeding, Dairy Farm Management and
Cryogenic Container Management.
7. HEAT SYNCHRONIZATION AND AI TRAINING - WORKERS / OFFICERS:
