Animal Science Business Plan
Situation: You are a recent college graduate with a degree in animal science. Upon graduation your family
has asked you to return to the farm as a business partner. With the recent economic shortfalls in your state,
jobs are scarce and you quickly realize this opportunity is one that you cannot pass up. You will be required
to “buy-in” to the family business by creating your own animal related niche in the operation. You must
supply all material, labor, and expenses to get your enterprise off the ground and running. Your family
business has the resources and the need for any of the enterprises below to be utilized to its fullest capacity.
Using the following information, create a business plan illustrating how you will utilize your degree to
enhance your family business.
Business Options: Being an animal science major has proven to pay dividends, as you are
educated in a variety of animal related topics. This will help you make the decision as to which
type of business enterprise you will be starting.
Business Plan: You will be researching and designing your dream operation. Your final product will be
