BE A SEA STAR ON THE OLYMPIC RIVIERA!
We would like to invite you to the “Sea Star” International festival of music and
dance art which will be held for the second time in one of the most popular tourist
destinations in Greece – Katerini, Paralia. The city is located on the Aegean Sea and at
the foot of mount Olympus. The resort is situated close to the Meteora –a complex of six
monasteries built on natural sandstone rock pillars and it’s also near the city of
Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city.

The goal of the festival is to provide kids, teenagers and adults with the opportunity
to show their talents in front of a big audience; to develop and promote music and dance
art, as well as to strengthen the relationships between group leaders. Further goal of the
festival is to promote joint activities among the performers and create friendships.
FORM OF THE FESTIVAL:
“SEA STAR” festival is not a competition and participants would not compete against
each other.
PARTICIPANTS IN THE FESTVIVAL:
The festival is open to all – individual participants, community centers, youth centers,
academies, public schools, private schools, dance studios/clubs, etc.
AGE CATEGORIES:
1-st age category – kids under 12 yrs
2-nd age category teenagers 13 to 19 yrs
3-rd age category – adults over 19 yrs
PARTICIPATION TERMS:
Maximum duration of musical and dance performances:
FESTIVAL DAY (05.06.2015 , Friday)

Solo, duet and trio - up to 10 min for performance per age group
Group – up to 20 min for an ensemble per age group
GALA CONCERT (06.06.2015, Saturday)
- Solo, duet and trio– up tо 5 minutes for performance per age group
- Group – up to 10minutes for an ensemble per age group
DANCE CATEGORY
Dance category is open to all non-professional dance groups and performers without
restrictions in genre (hip-hop, classical dance, folk dance, modern dance, jazz-ballet, etc.) or
number of participants.

Music category is open to all non-professional dance groups and performers without

Note: Participants should provide their own musical instruments and music for their

110.00lv/55 € per person and includes 3 nights in hotel apartments and
studios**/*** ; accommodation – 3 to 5 people per room + 3 buffet breakfasts
