ACTS Prayer Plan Richard Foster writes… “ To pray is to change. Prayer is the central avenue God uses to transform us. If we are unwilling to change, we will abandon prayer as a noticeable characteristic of our lives. The closer we come to the heartbeat of God the more we see our need and the more we desire to be conformed to Christ. When we pray God slowly and graciously reveals to us our hiding places, and sets us free from them.” Celebration of Discipline ACTS can be used in personal prayer as a guide to God’s heartbeat. This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. God is merciful :: Titus 3:5a He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. God is our creator (He is powerful) :: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
