Dear friends and family,
Warm greetings in Christ. Thinking of you today and hoping you are finding
our Lord sufficient for each trial of life. These are some verses the Lord
has recently brought to my attention and I have been savoring them.
Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my
knowledge; for it is a pleasant thing if you keep them within you; let them
all be fixed upon your lips, so that your trust may be in the LORD; I have
instructed you today, even you. Have I not written to you excellent things
of counsels and knowledge, that I may make you know the certainty of the
words of truth, that you may answer words of truth to those who send to you?
Proverbs 22:17-21
His words are true because of Who He is. It is His awesome person that
stands behind His words. That He fills heaven and earth, that He is
faithful and trustworthy. That He is unique and holy. That He is caring
and tenderhearted. I have been struck by the thought that it is His
immense love for us that He gives His careful precautions and warnings and
commandments. That same thought was shared in a message this morning, the
Holy Spirit confirming that truth. Where would we be without His Word?
Where would we be without our Lord Jesus?
This week finds us at North Greenville University. Ken has opportunity to
speak in two different classes there. The topics are Animism and
Chronological Teaching. Please pray for good communication, the work of
God's Spirit. Will you also pray for our Lord's appointments as we are on
campus? This school sends out over 200 students on summer mission trips
each year. They have a very encouraging heart for missions.
From Sept. 17 - 21 we are scheduled to be in Lynchburg, Virginia at Liberty
University. God has given me the opportunity to share a seminar on
Balancing Family and Ministry. Please pray our Lord will be at work and
glorified as I share. Here too, we need prayer for Divine appointments and
open hearts towards missions. Our last time at Liberty was such a blessing
and encouragement. Here too, many students are on mission with God.
Due to a hold up in the printing process we did not make our goal of having
the book available for sale by September 1st. Now it seems more likely that
it will be available for sale by October 1st. We will send out your copy
when we receive your check. October 1st we will begin taking orders. We
plan to design an order form and send further details in October.
Coming up in later October, the Lord has given us some opportunities to
share in some churches in Pennsylvania. We hope to see some of you at that
time.
