2013 MO/KAN TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES:
1.
Volleyballs will be provided.
2.
Pool Play will be match play starting @ 4–4 score– best 2 out of 3 games. Bracketed tournament games
will also be match play to 25 (no cap).
3.
There will be a regular 17 minute warm-up prior to the first two matches, after that round there will be a
5 minute warm-up time immediately following each match. A 10 minute warm-up time for bracket
play. Warm-up time will be shared.
4.
Each team must provide one linesman for pool and bracket play.
5.
There will be a hospitality room for coaches, officials, and administrators.
6.
Games will run on schedule or ahead of time if possible. Have your teams ready to play!
7.
Three(3) Varsity team awards will be provided for 1st, 2nd, and consolation.
8.
There will be a $5.00 admission for everyone over 7th Grade. K- 6 yrs of age $3.00.
*Senior Citizens – 55 over free.
9.
Dressing Rooms will be provided and shared by all schools. Each team is responsible for their own
valuables. Claim your spots in the commons for your food and drink as food and drink are not allowed
in the gyms.
10.
Ties will be determined first by:
a.
Head to head competition
b.
Point differential between tied games
c.
Point differential in all games
d.
Coin flip

All-Tournament Team
There will be 12 players selected to the MO/KAN All-Tournament team. Players will be
nominated by their coaches and selected according to a team’s finish or an at-large selection by
the tournament committee. The tournament committee will consist of one Missouri coach, one
Kansas coach, and the Athletic Director (Debbie Katzfey/Darwin Rold). Teams finishing in the
top four will be awarded with selections as follows:





1st Place – 3 selections to the All-Tournament team
2nd Place – 2 selections to the All-Tournament team
3rd Place - 2 selections to the All-Tournament team
4th Place – 1 selection to the All-Tournament team
Any teams not finishing in the top four will have a chance to have 1 selection to the AllTournament team as decided by the tournament committee.
