April 14 HR 117 Fee Media Center will be closed 11:18 am-12:00 pm today due to class usage. Welcome Home Jake Selwood: Jake is returning from Afghanistan. There will be a parade in his honor on April 12th at 1:30 pm. The parade route will start on Bridgeboro Street and go through town and up Fairview Street to the VFW. Come out and support one of our graduates. Students World Language Club: The World Language Club will hold a brief meeting on Tuesday, April 15th to elect officers and set up our first two fundraisers. Please plan to attend this important meeting in room 214 at 2:00 on 4/15. Prom Tuxedo Fittings: On Wednesday, April 16, Formal Expressions will be holding tuxedo fittings in the lunch room for any student that will be attending the Junior/Senior Prom. Please see Mrs. Potts or Mr. C. if you have any questions. Boys State of New Jersey sponsored by the American Legion Post 146 of Riverside is open to all interested Junior Boys. The application form is available in the Guidance Office. The dates are June 22-26, with a requirement to attend a count level information meeting at the Florence American Legion on Sunday, May 4th at 1:00 pm. Any follow up questions can be answered by Colonel Lyons in G-3. Class Ring Make Up Day: If you missed ordering your class ring, you will have another opportunity during your lunch on Tuesday, April 15th. Herff Jones will be here to help you design the perfect ring and take your order. Extra ring information packets and order forms are available in the Main Office. Prom Tickets: Prom tickets will go on sale starting Wednesday, April 9th in room 112 immediately after school. Cost will be $110 a couple or $60 a person. If you need to sign someone up that does not go to our school please see Mrs. O’Hanlan in the Main Office. Dates will also be on bulletin board outside room 112. Guidance Seniors: The Burlington County School Counselor’s Association is extending the application deadline for two $1000 scholarships. The deadline has moved from April 15th to May 1st. They have only received 1 application so far, so this could be an easy $1000 if you apply now! All you have to do is write an essay describing how a school counselor (past or present) influenced your life in a positive way. Come to Guidance for details and an application. Seniors: The local scholarships are now in. Please come to the Guidance Office to sign up. The deadline to sign up is April 25th. Another scholarship is available. Any graduating Senior who has been accepted into a college or university is welcome to sign up for the Riverside High School Sports Hall of Fame Award. Come to the Guidance Office to find out the details and to sign up. The deadline to sign up is April 17th.
