WHIRLOW HALL FARM INCUBATOR HIRE SERVICE 2012/13
New for 2013 – Hire an incubator from Whirlow Hall Farm in April, June or August to hatch
ducklings! Chicks are available in February. Incubators are now available in August for
non-school groups.
Please book early to avoid disappointment, places will be allocated on a first come, first
served, basis on receipt of a deposit. Bookings for 2013 open on 12th November 2012.
Hire equipment includes one dozen duck or chick eggs, food and full instructions on how
to use the incubator and rear the ducklings/chicks. The incubation process takes about 4
weeks and ducklings are usually kept for up to a week after hatching, before being
returned to the farm. If you have had chicks from us before please note that ducklings take
longer to hatch – everything is explained in the instructions. If you are a non-school group
please consider the August hire period, to free up incubators for those needing them in
term time.
The cost of this service is £80.00. A £20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the
booking.
We appreciate it isn’t always easy to get away at set times so we now also offer a dropoff/pick-up service for an additional £10 each way, within a 12 mile radius of the farm. We
will bring everything to you, set it up, and collect again on the dates shown. Please note
we can’t give exact times but we can call to let you know we are on our way.
Unfortunately we now have to ask for a £25 bond against non-return of equipment. Please
provide a separate cheque, which will be returned to you at the end of the hire period if
everything is brought back.
Please fill in the details on page 2 of this form, sign and return it to us within 28
days, enclosing a £20 deposit to secure the booking. Cheques should be made
payable to Whirlow Hall Farm Trust, with the name of your school or group on the
back. If you wish to pay by bank transfer or need an invoice, please call us.
The balance of payment, including the drop-off/return fee, is due 3 weeks before the hire
period starts. Please provide a separate cheque for your bond at the same time.
Note: Failure to return your form within 28 days may result in your booking being
cancelled.
