DESCRIPTION OF SCHOLARSHIP AND RULES OF ELIGIBILITY
This Knights of Columbus Scholarship/Leadership award is offered based on faith,
leadership, and educational goals achieved during the applicant's academic life. This
scholarship is for those who plan to pursue academic or vocational education. Only
students who graduate from high school or home school in the current year, or its related
equivalent, may apply for this scholarship. Applications are accepted between April 1st and
June 15th and may be submitted to the Grand Knight or Scholarship Chairman of Council
1214. Participants will be notified of the results within 3 weeks after June 15th.
Electronic or hardcopy submissions of the application are acceptable. Hardcopy
applications are available from the Grand Knight or from a member of the scholarship
committee. All questions must be answered and appropriate signatures completed before
the application will be accepted. The electronic version of the application can be emailed to
the Grand Knight. Hard copy applications can be mailed to Council 1214, 121 North
Meldrum, Fort Collins, 80521 and must be postmarked no later than June 15, for
acceptance. Under no circumstances will applications be accepted after the June 15
deadline. Applicants must be a registered Catholic in one of the Fort Collins Catholic
Churches.
If the applicant receives a full ride scholarship, the Knights of Columbus request that
you notify them so that another individual in need might receive this scholarship.
Although it is not required, the student may submit an essay (one page or less) describing
how this scholarship would be valuable to you. Please print a copy of this electronic
document and include your signature with the copy.
Privacy Policy
The Knights of Columbus Council 1214 respects the privacy of every individual who
applies for a scholarship. The Knights will not circulate or publish any information
collected from this application. Therefore, feel free to provide information that will be
solely used for the intent of selection of the final recipients by the scholarship
committee.
