Participants in this workshop should bring the IEP of a target child with whom they are using or plan to use structured teaching principles. There is a maximum of 40 participants for this workshop. This workshop is intended for classroom teachers, paraeducators, speech/language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, resource specialists, and early childhood teachers who are seeking introductory structured teaching information to work with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Participants will learn the important components of structured teaching including the following: Structuring the Environment Using visuals in the areas of: Individual Daily Schedules Communication Work Systems/Work Tasks Behavior Social/Play Self-Care Each participant will receive a binder that will include presentations and CD with photos and resources.
