Application Process
The materials in this packet will provide you with the necessary application information for the
Gannon Center for Women and Leadership Faculty Fellowship Program.
1. Submit a single copy of each item
(a) Application Form
(b) Describe the proposed project based on the identified opportunities of the
Gannon Fellowship Program. Provide a rationale for your selection; indicate
the focus of the project; state the research value of the project; explain the
teaching value of the project; describe the significance of the project to
Women Studies Scholarship; establish the relationship of the project to
women and leadership; provide the specific outcome of the Fellowship
Program; indicate the benefit of this Fellowship to your department and
University. This description of the project should be no more than four
double-spaced typed pages in length.
(c) An abstract (see application form)
(d) A full and current Curriculum Vitae
(e) Endorsement Forms from the Chairperson, where appropriate, and the Dean
supporting your application for the Fellowship.

3. Review Process
Applications will be reviewed by the Center's Program Selection Committee.
Awards will be announced by April 23, 2012. Proposals will be judged on the
criteria stated in item b. Special consideration will be given to the study of
women and leadership.

be a fellow of the Gannon Center during a particular semester, and also to provide members of
the Center’s Program Selection Committee with additional information about the applicant’s
project if the Chairperson or Dean chooses to offer it, you are requested to seek your department
Chairperson’s (if appropriate) and Dean’s written endorsement for the application using this
form.
Please provide your Chairperson, where appropriate, and your Dean, with this form and with a
copy of your proposal for appropriate review.

The Gannon Center for Women and Leadership Advisory Board invites your comments on the
attached proposal from a faculty member in your unit. We ask that you formally support in
writing here the applicant’s proposal for leave from teaching duties while serving as a Gannon
Center Fellow. In addition, we welcome any evaluative comments you may care to offer to the
Advisory Board. We place no constraints on the content of your remarks; detailed comments,
rank ordering of multiple proposals from your unit, etc., are welcome, but not required.
