North Coast Primary Schools Sports Association
Application for 2016 North Coast Executive
and Team Managers
Interested and experienced teachers are invited to apply for the positions listed on the attached
page.
It is requested that these positions be advertised throughout your school.
The following conditions apply: a) Team Manager:
i.
In Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming at least one (1) male and one (1) female shall
be elected.
ii.
Other than as specified in (i) above, members of the opposite sex may be elected as
manager of a North Coast team.
iii.
North Coast Team Managers are to supervise all team members to and from designated
travel points, regardless of the hometown of the manager.
b) Method of Election:
The election of the North Coast Executive and Team Managers shall be conducted annually.
Each Zone is entitled to vote for their preferred candidate in each position as detailed in the
voting booklet as issued at the North Coast PSSA Annual General Meeting.

Summary of Duties
Team Manager:
In liaison with the North Coast School Sports Unit run their sport:
i.
Organise the North Coast section of the NSWPSSA Knockout for their sport
including preparing the North Coast draw and collating the results;
ii.
Attend North Coast trials/championships to act as a selector (Team Sports only),
in consultation with all zone managers.
iii.
Compile and submit to the North Coast Sports Unit written information on
selected players;
iv.
Distribute information sheets/permission notes to selected players;
v.
Supervise the North Coast team from and to the designated departure/arrival
points when travelling to the state carnival;
vi.
Oversee the conduct of the North Coast team at all times;
vii.
Co-operate with the host Association during the State Carnival; Attend functions
organised by the host Association.
viii.
In the event of misconduct, provide a detailed account of both the activities and
actions taken by the team management;
ix.
At the conclusion of the State Carnival, give a report on the condition of the North
Coast uniforms and give any recommendations.
Teacher relief is given to attend the State Carnival.
