Open to players with handicaps of up to 9 and who are over the age of 50 years on Wednesday, 29th June 2011. All players will play off the same designated tees. INDIVIDUAL BOGEY STABLEFORD This will be played from Wednesday, 29th to Thursday, 30th June 2011. Open to players with handicaps from 10 to 24 and who are over the age of 50 years on Wednesday, 29th June 2011. All players will play off the same designated tees. A / SUPER SENIORS All players over the age of 60 years on Wednesday 29th June 2011 will be eligible to compete in this gross competition, which will be run in conjunction with the tournament proper. B / HANDICAP RANGE 7 to 9 All players falling within this handicap bracket will be eligible to compete in a gross competition, which will be run in conjunction with the tournament proper. REGISTRATION Registration will take place at the Fish River Country Club on Wednesday, 29th June 2011. All players are requested to report to the tournament official prior to the first round. PRACTICE ROUNDS AND FACILITIES No arrangements have been made for any practice rounds. Those competitors wishing to play a practice round are requested to contact the club direct by phoning 0406761101. A preferential rate has been negotiated for all participants. MOTORISED GOLF CARTS AND PRACTICE FACILITIES Competitors in the all divisions will be allowed to use motorised golf carts. All competitors wishing to use carts must make arrangements with the host club by phoning the golf shop on 0406761101. Fish River Country Club has a number of caddies and golf cars. Players are requested to contact the golf shop to reserve a caddie or golf car should they wish to make use of these facilities. The field for the Championships will be limited to 120 contestants. In the event of the number of entrants exceeding the stipulated field size preference will be given to entrants in the following order: i. All current A and B section players from the previous Inter Provincial championship. ii. Balance of the participants to be determined by handicap. No entry fees will be refunded to any entrants if a player withdraws his entry after the official closing date. Prizes will be allocated by Division and players who are over 60. The prize giving function will be held on Thursday afternoon as soon as possible after completion of play. The one prize per player rule applies. The championship and other events will be held in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews and Local Rules approved by organising committee. It will be obligatory for all competitors in the Championship to play with a ball which is named on the current R & A list of conforming Golf Balls. Driving clubs used by competitors during this championship must be on the list of conforming Driving Clubs as issued by the R & A. The onus is on the player to ensure he complies with these regulations. The Driving Club ruling will be enforced. Approved distance measuring devices may be used. The organising committee reserves the right to change the venue to another course for the event either in part or entirely in the case of exceptional circumstances, and also reserves the right to alter the advertised times of starting. All entries shall be subject to the approval of the organising committee which reserves the right to refuse any entry without giving reason for such refusal. The decision of organising committee as to the acceptance or refusal of any entry shall be final. The draw will be issued on Friday, 24 June 2011. Players shall start at the time laid down by the tournament committee (Rule 6-3a). However it is a condition of this Championship that, if a player arrives at his starting point, ready to play, within 5 minutes of his starting time, in the absence of Rule 33-7, the penalty for failure to start on time is two strokes at the first hole instead of disqualification. It is the intention of the tournament committee to advise all competitors by SMS of their tee times. The draw for Wednesday will be a random draw whilst on Thursday this will be a seeded draw.
