Photographic orders from the archives of
The Sudan Archaeological Research Society
The Society holds extensive archives of drawings, colour transparencies and
monochrome prints relating to the archaeology and ethnography of the Sudan and
adjacent areas. A full list of the Society’s archive material may be found on its
website.
Terms and conditions of photographic/image use from the Archives.
Orders for copies of photographs and images in the archives should be addressed to
the Honorary Secretary.
Images will be scanned and supplied on CDRom; artwork and prints at 720 dpi,
transparencies and 35mm negatives at 1350 dpi.
Cost of the media @ £2.50 per CDRom plus postage @ £2 (UK & EU), £4 (rest of
the world).

A 33% discount is available to Society members.
For orders requiring extensive research by the Honorary Secretary an additional
charge of £10 per hour will be applicable.

Usage is deemed to be Commercial if 1000 or more copies of the image are to be reproduced.

Terms and conditions of reproduction of material
from the SARS Archives for publication
Permission to reproduce material from the Society’s archives will only be given on
completion of the appropriate form and the payment of the agreed fee. The following
acknowledgement must be made:

Usage is deemed to be Commercial if 1000 or more copies of the image are to be reproduced.
An exhibition is deemed to be Commercial if entry is by payment of a fee and it is not held in a museum or other
academic institution.


program – please supply details of the author, title, publisher/production company
and the projected publication, exhibition, release date.
I the undersigned confirm that the photographs/images supplied to me are for the sole
use/s detailed above and that I will acknowledge SARS as the source of the
photograph/image and will pay the appropriated fee according to the terms and
conditions set out in this document within one month of receipt of invoice. For
further use/s of the material not outlined above I agree to seek the necessary
additional permission from SARS.
