GHS Announcements Thursday, April 9, 2015 MISC Students – 9th, 10, and 11th graders will take Iowa Assessments today and tomorrow morning from 8:30 – 10:00. You are to report to your SEMINAR TEACHER. On those three days, seniors are not to arrive at school until 10:00. The class schedule will be as follows: 1st Period 10:00-10:40 2nd Period 10:45-11:25 3rd Period 11:30-12:10 4th Period (A Lunch - 12:10-12:35) (B Lunch - 12:40-1:05) (C Lunch - 1:10 - 1:35) 5th Period 1:40-2:20 6th Period 2:25-3:05 LHC Math Contest Results - Overall top 3: 1)Norwalk, 2)Pella, 3)Grinnell. By grade overall: 9th - 2nd, 11th - 3rd. Individual places: Jon Rebelsky - 5th (11th), Lucas Chamberland -4th (10th), Nick Jacobson - 4th (9th), Robbie Shore - 1st (9th). The GHS Prom Dinner sign up is now available in the office! Reservations are required to attend, so come in during your free time and register yourself and your date. Look for the red folder on the office counter. Tables are set up for parties of 8. SPACE IS LIMITED! The GHS Prom dinner will be held at the Joe Rosenfield Center on the Grinnell College campus the evening of Prom, April 25. The social time begins at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner begins at 6:00 p.m.– 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be sold the week prior to Prom and will be $20 each. ATHLETICS The boys' soccer team fell to the defending state champions, Norwalk, 0-4 Tuesday night. The Tigers take the field for their home opener next Tuesday at Ahrens Field at 5:00 against Pella, so put it on your calendar! Boys golf team defeated STC and Benton Comm. Tuesday at Tama. Medalist was Lucas Scherf w/ even par = 35. Connor McKay runner-up = 40. Tigers will host Pella Ch. and Knoxville today at 4:15 at Grinnell Golf & Country Club. The Girls T&F team will be excused at 2:15 today for their meet at Eddyville. There will be an open gym for anyone wanting to learn or work on cheerleading stunts this Sunday, April 12 from 4-6 in the big gym. COUNSELING OFFICE Attention Sophomores: If you have not completed a registration form for the Career Expo on April 21, please stop by the Counseling Office TODAY.
