Scofield Magnet Middle School ONE SCHOOL-ONE BOOK SUMMER READING PROGRAM SUMMER 2014 All of the Above By: Shelley Pearsall Welcome to Scofield’s One School-One Book program. Included in this packet are questions for students to answer and return to school in September. Students, faculty and staff will read All of the Above by Shelley Pearsall. The book is an engaging story about four students from an urban school and how, with the help of a teacher and the school community, they attempt to build the world's largest Tetrahedron as part of a school project. The goal of the One School-One Book summer reading program is to create a shared reading experience across the school community and to develop a love for reading. Every student, faculty and staff member in the school receives a free copy of the book to read at home during the summer vacation. Activities at school in the Fall will coordinate, promote, and enrich the shared reading experience. Students may access copies of the enclosed materials on the school website www.magnetmiddle.org by selecting the One School-One Book link. This site also has a link to Scofield’s Destiny Library Services, which includes access to several free e-book sites and many other resources for academic practice and support. The website has a link to a short interview with Shelley Pearsall about All of the Above. Please have your child bring these completed materials to school by Monday, September 8, 2014. Have a wonderful and safe summer.
