Teacher Instruction: Small
group. Introduce key skills
based on student levels. Model
reading and assign work for
Follow Up check ins.
Writing: Students will be
working on corresponding
writing assignment. They will
complete this assignment using
the writing process and follow
up with a conference with
teacher.
Skill Days: Will be on
Wednesday for whole class. This
will be used as whole-class
instruction for any skills that
need to be addressed with all
students. This is also a flex day
for any additional work or tests
that need to be addressed.
Reading Center: Students
complete assigned task from
teacher small group. They will
practice fluency reading out
loud, hold discussions, answer
comprehension questions, and
complete a reading response.
Words: Students will work on
spelling workbook, grammar
pages, study spelling words,
find synonyms/antonyms, add
2 bonus words, use thesaurus,
and keep running record of
misspelled words in journals.
Some groups will have word
sort words as well.
