phD position in plant molecular and cellular biology. We are seeking a
motivated phD student to participate in our research project on chloroplast
protein import in A. thaliana (http://www.unine.ch/bota/lpv/en/index.htm). The
succesful candidate will work on protein-protein interactions during the early
stages of chloroplast protein import. The project involves a wide range of
methods including mutant analysis, confocal microscopy, yeast two-hybrid and
split-ubiquitin, protein biochemistry (protein purification, GTPase assays). The
phD student will have the possibility to participate in the NCCR Graduate School
"Plants and their Environment".
Earliest starting date will be January 2006.
