Undurti N. Das, MD, FAMS Undurti N. Das, MD, FAMS UND Life Sciences 13800 Fairhill Road, #321 Shaker Heights, OH 44120 PROFESSIONAL GOALS: To develop new anti-obesity, anti-cancer, anti-diabetic, anti-hypertensive, anti-infective, and antischizophrenia drugs; Investigate the role of long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids in the prevention of adult diseases including nephropathies that occur in diabetes, hypertension, collagen vascular diseases, depression, and schizophrenia and to do clinical oriented research. To study the interactions between genes and environment in these clinical conditions using microarrays and SiRNA techniques, and to develop newer diagnostic markers for these clinical conditions.
