▪ AN IMPOSING TRADE FAIR COMPLEX. In the outskirts of Milan (in the Rho district), Fiera Milano has
at its disposal one of the largest, most modern and functional exhibition districts in existence. The
complex, connected to the town centre by subway and rail, offers exceptional spaces and services:
345 thousand square metres of gross covered area (with an additional 60 thousand square metres
of outdoor space), twenty pavilions almost without columns, 74 meeting rooms of which 10 in the
Stella Polare convention centre, 84 refreshment areas and restaurants, 10 thousand parking

▪ A TRADE FAIR CONNECTED TO THE WORLD. Thanks to Milan’s very central position within the
international network of land and air connections, Fiera Milano can be easily reached from any
corner of the world. It also boasts an excellent offer in terms of hotels in town and can rely on the
untold opportunities for entertainment, shopping, culture and tourism offered by the city of Milan.
▪ EVENTS. Each year Fiera Milano hosts sixty or so events in Italy (approximately a third of which
are directly owned and organised by the company) and currently produces sixty more abroad.
These shows are unbeatable business and
internationalisation platforms and the ideal
tools through which, with a low level of
investment, one can reach profiled targets
and markets which would otherwise require
very expensive commercial activities. The
Fiera Milano exhibitions represent the
“state-of-the-art” of the reference sector at
the international level: fashion, furnishing
and
interior
design,
instrumental
mechanics, tourism and professional
hospitality, the food sector, systems and
energy, contruction and art are just a few of
the Fiera Milano sectors.

▪ FIERA MILANO WORLDWIDE. Fiera Milano is developing a considerable and constantly growing
share of its activities abroad: it operates in China, Brazil, India, Russia, Turkey, South Africa and
Singapore. The internationalisation strategy is flexible and includes the setting up of partnerships
(such as the one signed with the German Hannover Trade Fair in China and India in 2008) as well
as acquisitions (such as the Brazilian trade fair operator Cipa in 2011; the Turkish trade fair
company Interteks and the South African company Cape Gourmet Food Festival in 2012; the
Chinese WorldEx Newco in 2013), direct operation (in Russia the LLC Fiera Milano has been set
and along with India Fiera Milano in India) and commercial agreements. At the moment Fiera
Milano organizes around 80 exhibitions abroad.
The internationalisation activity is also focused on the globalisation of the top brands owned by the
trade fair company. The home show Macef has been launched in Brazil and Russia, and Food
Hospitality World, an itinerant “global” exhibition, has been brought to China, India, Brazil and in
2014 will be also in South Africa and Turkey. Food Hospitality World brings to bear the experience
that Fiera Milano has developed through managing the events Host (professional hospitality show)
and Tuttofood (food goods).
▪ CONGRESSES. Congress management, allocated to the subsidiary company Fiera Milano
Congressi, is of primary importance to Fiera Milano.
Since 2011 Fiera Milano can rely on MiCo – Milano Congressi, the most modern conference centre
in Europe and the only one that can host up to 18,000 delegates in an auditorium seating 1,500,
two plenary halls seating
4,000
and
2,000
respectively
and
approximately 70 modular
rooms. And to this one
must add 54 thousand
square
metres
of
supporting exhibition space
and 1,100 parking spaces.
The creation of MiCo,
which was made possible
by converting part of the
exhibition space no longer
used in town, has meant
an investment of 64 million
euro by Fondazione Fiera
Milano which controls Fiera Milano SpA. In addition to MiCo, Fiera Milano Congressi can also use
the Stella Polare Conference Centre, in the heart of the exhibition district in Rho (9 modular rooms
seating between 81 and 728 people and an elegant elliptical auditorium with 1008 seats, ideal not
only for congresses and events, but also for fashion shows and concerts).
▪ MEDIA COMPANY. Fiera Milano also means flexible and multichannel company communication,
both on and off line. The subsidiary company Fiera Milano Media offers companies communication
services which integrate the traditional specialist publication and web advertising channels and the
networking platform of conferences and training workshops.
▪ FINANCIAL AND ECONOMIC DATA. Fiera Milano SpA has been listed in the Star segment of the
Borsa Italiana’s main Stock Exchange since 2002. The Fiera Milano Group has posted a
consolidated turnover of 263.4 million euro and a net occupied surface area of 1.4 million square
metres in Italy and 0.4 million square metres abroad. The consolidated EBITDA (Earnings before
interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) stood at 17.9 milion euro and the earnings before
interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to 2.1 million.
