GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Roads Foreperson, this position shall be responsible for maintaining the
day to day operations for Roads, Parking, Sanitary Sewer, Storm Sewer and Solid Waste
Recycling.
EDUCATION:


Minimum completion Gr. 11 education
Must have valid "G" driver's license
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES


Operates all vehicles and equipment including 1 ton and ½ ton pickup trucks, lawn
tractors, as well as a full range of power tools and equipment
To work and operate equipment in a safe manner










Repair, replace, and/or install signs, fences, safety devices, culverts, catch basins,
drainage pipes and any other repairs that pertain to the Roads areas of responsibility
General roadside maintenance including trimming and removal of small trees and brush
within the road allowance, street and parking lot line painting, debris and litter pickup,
roadside weed cutting, dust control applications
Ensures that OHS practices are observed
Inspect and clean culverts, catch basins, curbs, gutters, and storm and sanitary sewers
Patch holes with cold or hot mix asphalt
Report road conditions, damage, and vandalism
Clean garage bays and compound
Setting out barricades for danger areas and detours and special events
Complete all other duties as assigned
Must be returning to school in the Fall.
