The core curricular and instructional reading programs and strategies in the general education setting plus 45-60 additional minutes using scientifically-researched programs approved by special education Students with IEP’s Saxon Phonics and Spelling, Edmark Red Book Series, Elementary Special Education Curricula Continuum, Curriculum Planning Guide, and Critical Thinking Reference TEKS-based instruction and accelerated intervention using Saxon Phonics and Spelling, for students 2 or more years below grade level General Education teacher with supplemental instruction by the Special Education teacher Cross-class and/or cross-grade membership; groups not to exceed 1:6 120 minutes general education reading plus 45-60 minutes small group reading instruction.
