Course Overview:
Graphic Illustration presents the opportunity for the students to work with specialized techniques used in the fields of illustration and graphic
design. Students will use of the elements and principles of design, layout processes and multi-media techniques, and will create illustrations
artwork for a variety of assignments. Students will also receive an historical overview of graphic arts.
Standard #1: Students will understand and apply media, techniques, and processes.
Competency 1: Students will demonstrate the ability to use the appropriate medium for their project
requests/assignments.
Competency 2: Students will utilize different drawing techniques.
Competency 3: Students will create, manufacture, and complete marketing strategies for their final projects.
Competency 4: Students will demonstrate the ability to handle art materials in a safe and responsible manner.
