_____ Research Heraldry on the Internet (check my Delicious account) There is also an article in the

and heraldry.
_____ Create a prologue to your own frame story. Begin by deciding what kind of journey or other
experience will bring your characters together. Will they meet in a bus station? at an
airport? on a summer visit? Maybe your characters are survivors of a storm or accident
and are waiting for rescue. List four characters who are sharing this experience. IN a
prologue, introduce your characters. Describe each character from tip to toe, including
details of appearance that suggest each characters traits. You may write in prose or try
your had at rhymed couplets like Chaucer’s. Devote at least six lines to each character.
If you are so inspired, provide an illustration of each of your characters.
_____ The opposite of greediness is philanthropy, the quality of being generous and charitable, or
engaging in activities to benefit humankind. Research a present-day philanthropist or

qualities other than generosity that distinguish him or her? Write a brief biography or
create a PhotoStory of this person to share with the class.
