Médecins Sans Frontières Ireland The Irish office works in a highly integrated manner with MSF UK, and is focused on the core activities of fundraising, recruitment, representation and awareness-raising of our mission among the Irish public. Eight years after its opening, the Dublin office is staffed with 4 full-time posts of Director, Fundraising Manager, Donor Care Officer and Communications Manager. In addition several office volunteers assist on a regular basis with communications, administration and recruitment. In the next five years, MSF will build upon the solid foundation developed since 2006 by capitalising on its presence in Ireland to become a widely recognised, accepted and respected humanitarian organisation among Irish audiences, and within the Irish humanitarian and political sector. MSF has built a modest supporter base in Ireland through emergency appeals, and other fundraising activities. There continues to be opportunities to obtain further market share and growth within Ireland, and amongst target groups. Job Purpose: The Digital Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for implementing and developing an evolving digital marketing strategy in order to maximise income from online channels, including the recruitment of new supporters and the development of relationships with existing supporters, using the internet and other digital distribution channels. The selected candidate will also be responsible for leading and implementing MSF Ireland’s digital communications strategy. This role will split between both Fundraising (70%) and Communications (30%) objectives. Reports To: Director, MSF Ireland. Works closely with: Fundraising Manager, MSF Ireland, to ensure fundraising objectives are being met Communications Manager, MSF Ireland, to ensure communications objectives are being met Digital Team, MSF UK 1 Main Duties and Responsibilities: Implement and develop an evolving digital marketing strategy in order to maximise all digital marketing channels and content, ensuring it is integrated with offline communications, fundraising initiatives and campaigns Responsible for publishing digital content and maintaining MSF Ireland’s website Sustained data analysis of visitor and supporter behaviour on the MSF Ireland web site and donation system, using Google Analytics and CARE Database. Use this analysis to implement improvements to the web site and donation system, in order to maximise the number and value of donations made online To develop online fundraising platforms in order to build online revenue stream (E-news, emarketing, advertising spend, Adwords, PPC, SEO) and ROI from online and mobile sources Responsible for the development of campaign specific digital media materials including design and production of video, infographics etc. Maximising the awareness raising potential of our existing social media channels and launching and developing new channels To manage paid search engine promotion to drive traffic and maximise the number and value of individual and regular donations made online, meeting expenditure and income targets. To develop web advertising campaigns (display), from initial brief through copy and design development to final delivery. To coordinate the media planning and booking of web advertising campaigns, working with internal colleagues and external agencies to maximise ROI from individual and regular donations To manage any affiliate network fundraising to maximise Return on Investment (ROI) from individual and regular donations To manage e-mail campaigns, particularly e-newsletter. This includes scheduling of activity, data selections, commissioning content and selection of imagery and multimedia, layout and design. Analysis of results of e-mail campaigns in order to increase the number and value of donations generated. Ensure increased acquisition of email subscribers and donors from this channel Under the supervision of the Director, to manage the allocation of budget across all digital marketing channels (e.g. Paid Search, SEO, Display, Email) in order to maximise income. Monitoring ROI and reacting accordingly Management of day to day relationship with all external actors (editors, developers, web and donation platform providers, tech support) relating to online channels Management of data from online channels and content exchange with CARE database Produce detailed analysis, testing and regular reporting on all digital marketing and communications activity Keep up to date with industry innovation and development, testing new channels, content and messaging where possible to ensure that the correct mix is implemented Project management of specific web and digital projects that arise Liaise with MSF UK fundraising, communications and digital teams and other MSF sections to ensure consistency of message and accuracy To work as a full member of the MSF Ireland team, assisting with additional fundraising and communications tasks when required Person Specification: Third level qualification in Digital Marketing or equivalent Minimum 2-3 years experience in digital fundraising or digital marketing & communications Proven experience of growing engaged communities online and increasing LTV 2 Proven track record of income generation via digital channels (PPC, SEO, Google Tracking, CPC, SEM etc) Excellent analytical and reporting skills and extensive experience using digital analytics tools and metrics (ROI, CPC, CTR, CVR, Bounce Rates, Unique visits, Rank etc.) Ability to develop compelling AIDA strategies that converts readers to action-takers Proven experience in recruiting and manage third party agencies Extensive experience of Google Ad Words, Google analytics, CMS and e-commerce platforms Extensive experience with email marketing providers (e.g. Communicator Corp, Mailchimp, Cheetahmail), and data management systems Excellent copy-writing, proof-reading, multimedia, web mastering, image and editing skills (CSS, HTML, Photoshop, Indesign etc Ability to meet and prioritise multiple deadlines and work independently as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced, high-pressure environment Excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to carry out different tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining an overview of all activity Creative problem solver with meticulous attention to detail and a willingness and ability to manage administration Commitment to the aims and values of Médecins Sans Frontières Candidates must hold an appropriate passport or permit to work in Ireland 3 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a full-time, fixed term 12 month (renewable) position, on a 40 hrs per week basis. The salary for this post will be €37,752 per annum. Current Benefits at MSF UK and Ireland: SALARIES MSF UK & Ireland pays the salaries into the bank account on the 30th of each month. FLEXITIME SCHEME MSF UK & Ireland operates flexi time. The daily requirement for full time staff is to work 8 hours plus half an hour for lunch with core hours between 9.30am-5.00pm and flexi time periods between 8.30am – 9.30am and 5.00pm-6.00pm. ANNUAL LEAVE The MSF UK & Ireland holiday (annual leave) year runs from 1st January to 31st December. Annual entitlement for full-time staff is 28 days per year in addition to Irish bank holidays (pro rata for parttime) SICK LEAVE On completion of the probationary period, employees of MSF UK & Ireland receive additional benefits though our Group Income Protection Scheme and Group Life Scheme.
