I enjoy Scuba Diving (PADI qualified Advanced Open Water Diver), football, badminton, hiking, reading,
music, cooking and wine tasting. When my body isn’t crapping out, I enjoy participating in team sports
events: representing Long Ashton Research Station BBSRC annual sports day at Rothamsted research
station (1993); representing UWE in a Royal Society of Chemistry sports day in Cardiff (1997);
competing in the Teddy Hall relay race in Oxford with three science colleagues (2004); competing in
departmental football matches at University of Bath (2005-2006) and cricket matches, University of
Reading (2007-). I have also had the pleasure to marshal for the Measham Vintage sports car rally.
