Fantastic Plastics: A Master Class for Social History Curators Are you stumped by celluloid? Baffled by Bakelite? Perplexed by PVC? Plastic in all its forms has been with us for well over 100 years and most of our social history collections include it. This study day will equip you with the confidence to identify, date and care for the examples in your collection. Learn about the history and development of plastics and some of the issues involved in conservation, then get hands-on in an identification workshop and bring your own objects for discussion.
