Objective of flip chart
Introduction to spelling pattern
1. Screen can be used as a basis for brainstorming /
class discussion.
2. Children can add words they know with these
prefixes to the screen.
1. Pupils can match the prefix with the meaning by
moving both parts into the white box.
2. At the bottom of the screen are four words with
these prefixes. Discuss meanings, the focus
should be on the meanings of the prefixes.

This screen gives the opportunity to revise the use of a
dictionary. The first three letters are colour coded and
correspond with the prefixes on the screen.
This screen is used for giving the children practice in
learning words with the prefixes that have been
studied. The teacher should write or type in the words
appropriate for the group in the left hand column. By
using the special tools option, choosing the pull down
blind and pull the blind right to left across the screen;
Children can come out to the I. W. B. and use the
columns together with the blind option to try to spell
the words correctly using the look, cover, try and check
approach.
