Remember to start to forming ideas about LSMS, but don’t make any final judgments yet Implications based on pp. 1-6 (succinct paragraph) The school has already developed trust and good relationships in every area. Parents and teachers both want more contact. Students, parents and teachers are willing to meet the required goal, a good plan and support should be all that is needed to make this happen. Implications based on pp. 7-8 (succinct paragraph) A disconnect has occurred with some classes and sub groups. Professional development geared toward diverse teaching for diverse classrooms could possibly be effective for the affected teachers. Stronger relationships and trust may be needed for parents with students that are missing excessive days of school. The importance of education may need to be shared with students that are missing school. Implications based on pp. 9-13 (succinct paragraph) The challenges are bigger than they first appeared. Scores across the board must go up to reach the next level. Teachers may be giving busy work to faster paced students to hold them until others catch up. Regular and special education teachers as well as aides should be working together to move the students along through the planned curriculum. Complete during Session 2 Assignment 1: Profile Data Analysis Implications based on Session 2 (pp. 16-19) (succinct paragraph) Lone Star has made some changes that were affective and can possibly be built upon. Math scores in all areas need immediate attention especially in the sub groups in ESL and LEP. Teachers need to continue to work together across the curriculum to make additional strides in all areas. Continued focus on Reading should not be replaced, but added to for other subjects. ©Texas Education Agency November 2008 ILD Online: Instructional Leadership Development: Session 1: ILD Foundations Profile Data Worksheet
