(Sat. Dec. 7th 8am – 2pm) If you weren’t contacted about the Cookie Walk, it’s not too late! Please bring your homemade Christmas goodies to Taylor Hall (125 S. Randolph) on Fri. 12/6 from 4-6pm (no early deliveries) or Sat. Dec. 7th from 7am-8AM. Cookies and candies should be dropped off in disposable containers. Customers will make their selections from our beautifully assorted trays at a cost of $6/pound. You can even buy an entire tray if you'd like! Other baked items such as pies, breads, etc. should be wrapped tightly in saran and labeled, so they are ready to sell. These items will be priced individually. Salvation Army Bell Ringing The Women’s Guild will be doing holiday bell ringing at Hy-Vee on Saturday December 14th, 2013 from 1:008:00pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the Narthex if you would like to sign up for a time slot. Participants may sign up for as many one hour time slots as they would like. This is a great opportunity to spread holiday cheer and help raise money for our community. Pajama Party with Santa! Parents are welcome to drop off their child(ren) from 1:00-4:00pm on Sunday December 15th at the St. Paul school gym to enjoy some classic Christmas movies, popcorn, cookies, and hot coco! Admittance to the “party” is one food pantry donation item per child. Santa will be making an appearance from 3:00 - 4:00 pm Children are encouraged to dress in comfy pajamas, and bring blankets and pillows! Parents are welcome to stay if desired, or use this time without your child to do some holiday shopping. Any child under the age of 5 needs to be accompanied by an adult. Children will be supervised by members of the Knights of Columbus and Women’s Guild. 4th annual St. Paul Nativity Walk Please sign up in the church narthex if you are planning on/would like to participate in the 4th annual St. Paul Nativity Walk on Saturday December 21st, 2013. Please bring your Nativity to the school gym on Saturday December 21st, 2013 between the hours of 2:00-4:00pm to set it up. You may pick up your Nativity that evening immediately following the event at 7:00pm or on Sunday December 22nd between 8:00-10:30am. Thank you for your participation! 4th annual St. Paul Nativity Walk Please come see the 4th annual nativity walk in the St. Paul school gym on Saturday December 21st from 4:30-7:00pm. This is a wonderful, free, event open to all. Come see some of our parish member's beautiful nativity scenes displayed from all over the world. The nativity scenes are displayed in "twilight" with peaceful music playing, it is a serene experience not to be missed. Come enjoy a reminder of what this Christmas season is truly about. Ladies Night Out! The Women’s Guild is hosting another Ladies Night Out! On Tuesday December 10th, we will be traveling to Peoria, IL for dinner and to visit a few displays in the East Peoria Festival of Lights. Please be in the church parking lot at 5:15pm on Tuesday December 10th to leave for Peoria. We will eat dinner at Avanti’s Italian Restaurant at 6:30pm then head to Folepi's Winter Wonderland promptly after dinner. If time permits we will also be visiting the live Nativity scene. We do need drivers for this event and in order to calculate how many cars, we are asking that you please sign up in the narthex if you plan on attending. If you are willing to drive please indicate that on the sign-up sheet. All women will be responsible for buying their own dinner and contributing to the $10.00 car fee to drive through Folepi's Winter Wonderland. ST.PAUL WOMEN'S GUILD: Christmas Remembrances for Our Special Parishioners: There will be 35 gift bags in the narthex on Dec. 7 & 8 and Dec. 14 & 15. The bags will be given to parish family members who are homebound, in nursing homes, or the hospital. Please use your imagination and find a simple non-food item you can put in the gift bags. Past gifts have been holy cards, wrapping paper, stationery, homemade cards & notes, jokes, simple games, decorations, pens, bookmarks, and sundries like lotion, shampoo, etc. Thank you in advance for your help in sending holiday cheer to our parishioners! THANK YOU! St Paul 4th grade class would like to thank the parish for their contributions to our aluminum can drive this year. We earned over $835.00 dollars!! Your efforts helped us fund our trip to Springfield, adopt a family at Christmas from WIRC and donate to Loaves and Fishes.
