JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Senior Business Development Manager (Indonesia) Department / Business Stream: Cambridge English Location: Jakarta, Indonesia Reports to (job title): Head of Business Development JOB PURPOSE We are currently recruiting for a Senior Business Development Manager (newly created role) based in our office in Jakarta to support our dynamic, growing organisation, whilst furthering your career in a senior role in the education industry. We have already built up strong sales and marketing culture overseas. We are now making a step change to achieve further growth in a fiercely competitive market, to get closer to our customers and offer a faster and better service. This involves new structures and processes but also changes to business culture. The Senior Business Development Manager will deliver those changes working closely with the Head of Business Development (SE Asia), the Regional Director and colleagues in South East Asia, formulating and implementing regional sales strategies as we move from a UK organisation with offices overseas to a completely international organisation with its HQ in Cambridge. The Senior Business Development Manager will drive sales growth in Indonesia across relevant sectors, working with a complex and extensive network of authorised exam centres and other key partners including ministry of education, universities and corporate partners. To achieve challenging targets, you will optimise the effectiveness of your experience and network through the implementation of sales and recognition campaigns. You will also contribute with the development of new strategic relationships and existing key accounts leading to significant new business. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure annual sales targets are met by following the approved strategic plan. These targets include candidate numbers and net revenue. Devise and implement local sales campaigns to obtain new customers. Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts and build significant business with them. Implement and manage an effective and efficient account management system, including setting targets, conducting follow-up/accountability meetings and ensuring accurate record keeping. Undertake regular reviews of all key accounts. Assist the Head of Business Development and Regional Director in identifying and evaluating potential strategic partner. Implement Cambridge English Language Assessment’s agreed business development strategy which includes implementing the CRM system, ensuring sales consultants follow the Cambridge English Language Assessment sales process, building a sales-based culture. Ensure a customer-focused approach to all business development. Ensure Cambridge English Language Assessment is meeting changing customer needs and that new business opportunities are identified early. Where new business opportunities exist, make well researched recommendations and proposals for exploiting these to Senior Management in good time. Ensure the BD recognition strategy is implemented within budget for the territory; produce action plans for all sales and recognition campaigns. Contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the long-term business development plans and the short/medium term sales strategy Position Cambridge English Language Assessment as the experts to government, corporate and educational stakeholders. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Qualifications Educated to first degree level, preferably with a marketing/business qualification Skills Excellent communication skills, including presentation and negotiating skills Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence Minimum of C1 level English Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia (Written and Speaking) Competent in standard IT software packages including CRM and Microsoft Office suite Experience 3-5 years as a sales manager, business development manager or marketing manager Proven experience of identifying opportunities Budget management experience Experience of account management and relationship building Behaviours Target and results driven Self- starter and motivated (individual contributor role) Ability to identify with and understand motivations of others Comfortable to work with virtual team Reliable, independent and a good team player Ability to prioritise and work autonomously
