SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
System Analysis/Development

Assessed test case attributes, results and requirements tracking tool and produced a simplified process
enabling new users to become proficient in half the time. Process and accompanying PERL scripts
were adopted by test and design groups.

Customized simulator by enhancing Expect scripts and writing new UNIX shell scripts so fault
confidence feature could be validated and avoiding need for a real DMS telephone switch.

Researched and collected data to write interface specifications for DMS and System X switch
management application. Documents guided, parsing, remote login and audit implementations, forming
a standard for interface development for over 5 years.

Designed, implemented, and maintained CANAC/Microtel North Warning Surveillance Control and
Data Acquisition software application. Coding was done in a proprietary BASIC like language.
Software Verification/Quality Assurance

Developed, executed, and maintained test cases and simulation scripts for validating features such as
fault, performance, audit and trail management on real time software applications for monitoring
networks of circuit switches, digital cross connects and remote telemetry devices.

Used protocol analyzer to validate interface communication between remote devices.

Organized test results. Logged and tracked problem reports. Produced test reports and release notes.
Collaborated with design teams represented the test team in forums such as project and design
reviews and influenced design enhancements and release packaging.

Updated verification process documents, organized records, and guided team members to achieve
successful ISO 9000 audits.
Project Management

Organized, planned and coordinated a successful internal International Standards Organizations (ISO)
9001 quality assurance audit of site development processes.

Acted as Year 2000 test prime coordinated test activities, including customer acceptance tests with BC
Hydro and BC Tel Mobility, met the corporate readiness goals for the NETWORKS product family.

Acted as acceptance prime for Harris WS3000 TL1 telemetry device supervised device installation,
coordinated and performed test activities, prioritized problems, and assessed device readiness for
deployment in Cable and Wireless network management solution.

Produced test plans, schedules, and coordinated test activities for software loads and corrective
patches ensuring customer demands were met.
Leadership/Management

Acted as a consultant for design and test teams answering high-level verification and process
questions. Provided test bed support trouble-shooting problems and configured terminal servers and


Interviewed and recommended 5 new test team members of which 4 remained with the company two
