1 Σταδιοδρομία Από το 1971 έως το 1994 διετέλεσε διαδοχικά μεταδιδακτορικός συνεργάτης, Λέκτορας, Αναπληρωτής και Τακτικός Καθηγητής στο Τμήμα Φυτοπαθολογίας και Επιστήμης, Πολιτικής και Διαχείρησης του Περιβάλλοντος στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Καλιφόρνιας στο Μπέρκλεϋ.
