BASAL MEDIUM
Microvascular Endothelial Cell Basal Medium is a modified version of MCDB 131. This basal medium is
composed of essential and non-essential amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, organic compounds, and
trace minerals. Microvascular Endothelial Cell Basal Medium contains no growth factors, hormones, any
proteins or antibiotics. This basal medium is bicarbonate buffered and sterile filtered. Microvascular
Endothelial Cell Basal Medium was designed to promote microvascular endothelial cell growth in culture
when this basal medium is supplemented with Microvascular Endothelial Cell Growth Supplement.
