is made up entirely of volunteers we would ask that you contact them on weekends only when absolutely

LEAGUES
All games must be finished by 31st March 2015. The onus is on the HOME team to send in the scoresheet just get an envelope and send them to:

AICCS - U16(1) & U14(1) DUBLIN LEAGUE WINNERS & RUNNERS UP
We are pleased to announce that the AICC's will be on the weekend of 11 & 12th April 2015. This season
we will be entering 2 teams in the A Division for both Under 14 & 16, so that's 4 teams in total. Galway is
hosting U16A Girls, and Cork is hosting U14A Girls, so our winners and runners-up for both U16 and U14
will have a weekend away! As soon as BI confirm the exact locations we will let you know.
LIFFEY CHALLENGE - U15s & U13s
The Liffey Challenge will take place on Sunday 26th April 2015 at the Carroll Arena, Greendale, Kilbarrack,
commencing at 12.30pm for the U13s and 2pm for the U15s. We would remind you whilst this competition is
open to players who play in our U15 leagues it does not include any player who is currently training with the
Irish U15 Development Squad.
We have asked two clubs to organize and coach the teams - Meteors and Malahide. They will run trials and
appoint coaches and managers for the two U15 and U13 teams. Trials will begin as soon as the season
ends on 31st March and we will post the details as soon as we have them.
UNDER 11 BLITZ
Templeogue are hosting our final U11 blitz for this season on Sunday 19th April in Presentation College
Terenure and all clubs have been already notified by Philip. We will be presenting the U11 medals on the
day so make sure you let Philip know your numbers.

UNDER 10 JAMBOREES
We had to cancel the Jamboree on 15th March as it clashed with Mothers Day. Dublin Lions hope to run it
again after Easter and we will keep you posted about that.
TOP 4 SENIOR COMPETITION
Keep an eye on the tables to see if you qualify for this, for teams who are tied on points it will be decided on
score difference between those matches.

NATIONAL ALL IRELAND COMPETITION
The NAIC, which is for our Senior teams who do not play National League, are on the weekend of the 9th &
10th May 2015 in Galway so we will get a chance to defend our title. We are thrilled to announce that Karl
Kilbride & Jermaine Turner from Killester Basketball Club are Coach / Assistant Coach this year and our
Team Manager will be Mairead Dillon from Firhouse Basketball Club. Plans are to have two trials week
commencing 1st April to give players a chance to attend, with first session training on Monday 13th April, and
then training twice a week commencing 20th April, 27th April and 4th May. We will be using St. Fintans and
St. Davids on the Northside for all training sessions. If you cannot commit to these training sessions please
do not try out and take the place of someone who can commit.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Dublin Ladies Basketball Board will be the AGM and will take place on Tuesday 5th
May 2015 at 7.30pm, Wynns Hotel, Abbey Street, Dublin 1. (Registration at 7.15pm)
All clubs must have a representative present.
All League medals will be available for collection at the AGM
