Burgos was founded in 884 and its historical heritage is

portal, the “Puerta del Sarmental,” considered the best
example of Gothic sculpture of its century. The
Cathedral of Burgos is modeled after the French
cathedral of Bourges and reflects the Gothic style made
Holy Communion. Later, at leisure, explore the town’s
rich historical and natural heritage and be submerged in
the atmosphere that reigned during the apparitions and
the spirit of brotherhood that is still present today. Today
breakfast, lunch and dinner will be included.

popular in Spain by the Cistercian Order. The
Monasterio de las Huelgas, with its Gothic chapterhouse
of unique value and its Romanesque cloister, is
considered one of the most important monuments in
Spain. It was founded in 1187 by Alfonso VIII whose
tomb, alongside those of other members of the Spanish
royal family, can be visited inside. After sightseeing, you
may want to try out Burgos’ exquisite cuisine. The most
famous food of Burgos is the fresh cheese with slight
goat-milk-flavor, called “Queso de Burgos.”
