Go for Green Flag Award We Want to Improve the Following Areas; Improve the School Grounds Improve How and How Much We Reduce, Reuse and Recycle Make Sure We Have Less Litter 2 Eco Council Action Plan Eco Council Improvement Area 1: Improve the school Grounds Team Responsible Eco Council The purpose and nature of the activity The specific action to be taken We want to develop our school grounds so that more wildlife will come to the school. We also want to use our ground so that we can do more outdoor learning. We also have a problem with litter; mainly from the Boy’s School but also from our own children. Who Eco Council & Gardening Club What Continue to develop our outdoor plan This year we will; Complete Allotments on School Site Put in place bird feeders and hives (With digital camera) Tidy up the Willowcroft Dome Dig and fill a school Pond Plant 150 trees When By July 2011 Litter Surveys to ensure that we are at least an Eco Grade B Write to the boys school and offer to help them become at least a grade B school Success Criteria Allotments finished and growing food to eat We have more birds in school grounds and we can see them on the web cam Our pond is in place and wildlife we using it We have planted 150 trees and the gardeners have not chopped them down by accident We are a least an Eco Grade B for Litter We have helped the boys school reduce their litter problem Monitoring and evaluation procedures Resource requirements Links to other priorities, activities and plans Monitored each term by SLT and children Monitoring log of evidence of progress towards success criteria: (give dates) Grant for trees Parents and Fire Service to help with pond RAP 1.2 3 Eco Council Improvement Area 2: To increase How and How Much We Reuse and Recycle Team Responsible Eco Council The purpose and nature of the activity The specific action to be taken We already recycle but we could need to better.
