Includes outpatient counseling program, outpatient drug abuse program, senior citizens program, and a child abuse program. Clientele are of all ages. 50% of low income. Approximately 50% of area residents are ethnic minorities. Multidisciplinary, multiethnic staff. DIRECT/INDIRECT SERVICES Intake assessments, crisis intervention, individual, family, group, conjoint therapy, and an agency project. Required: Treatment planning, report-writing, and community outreach. Optional: proposal and grant-writing, program development and evaluation. THEORETICAL ORIENTATION Varies across staff. Primarily psychodynamic, but includes eclectic, family systems, behavioral, and existential-humanistic, self. SUPERVISION 1 hour/week individual supervision. 2 hours/week group supervision. needed, depending on groups assigned. PREFERRED/REQUIRED DAYS Students will be expected to put in 20 to 21 hours a week. This includes 13 hours of direct service. Wednesday 9::00pm – 3:00pm, mandatory. 2 evenings a week are required. (Evenings are considered 5:00 – 9:00 pm.)
