Your Itinerary:
Saturday, May 30
Our motorcoach will depart in the early afternoon to New York for our overnight flight to Rome.
Sunday, May 31-Rome
On arrival in Rome you will be transferred to our hotel. A special welcome dinner with wine at one of
Rome’s lively restaurants will be provided. (transportation included)
Monday, June 1 –Rome
Enjoy a unique guided sightseeing of inside visits to all highlights of religious and ancient Rome: the
Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with Michelangelo’s ceiling paintings and the Last Judgement,
monumental St. Peter’s Square and Basilica , the amazing Colosseum , and the Roman Forum, where
Roman legions marched in triumph. (B)
Tuesday, June 2 – Rome – Orvieto - Assisi
Stop in Orvieto, perched high atop a volcanic rock. Time to browse through tempting shops in the lanes
off Piazza del Duomo, and to visit the the fabulous gothic Cathedral with its San Brizio Chapel. Continue
on to Assisi for your overnight stay. Guided walking tour includes visits to St. Clare’s Church and St.
Francis Basilica. (B)
Wednesday, June 3- Assisi – Florence – Padua
In Florence, join your local guide on a walking tour. Visit the Academy of Fine Arts to admire
Michelangelo’s “David”. Marvel at the magnificent marble cathedral, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistry’s
heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise” and sculpture-studded Signoria Square. Afterwards, time to shop for
leather goods and gold jewelry for which Florence is famous, before continuing straight through the
Apennine Mountains and the flat Po area to Padua for an orientation of St. Anthony’s city and your
overnight stay. (B)
Thursday, June 4 –Padua, excursion to Venice
A short drive brings you to Venice. Enter in style by private boat and meet your local guide. Highlights of
your walking tour are St. Mark’s Square and the Basilica, lavish Doges’ Palace and the Bridge of Sighs.
Also watch a skilled glassblower fashion delicate objects in an age-old traditional manner. Afterwards,
enjoy Venice at your own pace or join an optional cruise to the charming island of Burano. (B)
Friday, June 5 –Padua – Verona – Milan
Visit Verona, medieval setting of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Continue to the Arena, a wellpreserved pink marble Roman amphitheater, where gladiators used to fight, now a venue for worldfamous opera performances. Then, on to Milan where you will walk through it’s busy center with the La
Scala Opera House, gothic Duomo and the glass-domed Galleria. (B)
Saturday, June 6 –Milan, excursion to Lake Como
Lake Como is regarded as one of Europe’s most beautiful lakes. Enjoy a boat ride and visit picturesque
Bellagio, the “Pearl of Lake Como”. This evening, a special farewell risotto dinner with wine awaits you at
a local restaurant in Milan. (B, D)
Sunday, June 7 – Milan, home
Breakfast before we are transferred to the airport for our morning flight back to New York. Our
motorcoach awaits to return us to East Lyme and New London. (B)

Responsibility and Liability: Klingerman Travel, Inc. is responsible to its passengers as set forth below. Klingerman Travel, Inc. (hereafter named KTI) is
responsible for arranging and providing all services and accommodations offered in connection with this trip. However, in no cases does KTI own, operate
or control any of the firms or vendors which will provide goods and services for the trip (hotels, air or land transportation, meals, etc.) or for any option which
may be available (optional side trips, car rentals, etc) KTI has not priced the trip or option to allow KTI to guarantee against the failure or negligence of any
such firms. Hotel rooms are reserved on a first come, first served basis. KTI has no control over how specific rooms are assigned. While hotels are asked to
take into account special room requests. KTI cannot guarantee any requests for type of bedding, views, etc. since it is not within control to do so. Each
participant agrees to seek redress or remedies directly with the supplier and not to hold KTI liable in the absense of its negligence which results directly or
indirectly from any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise of (1) which any entity which is to or doesn’t provide goods or services for the trip or any
available option (e.g. the quality of services, cleanliness of a hotel, beach, sightseeing attraction, ship, aircraft, bus or any other conveyances, quality of food
problems regarding needs or animals, damaged, lost or delayed luggage, hotel overbooking (flight delays, labor unrest, acts of criminals or terrorism, etc)
or any other third party Each participant also agrees not to hold KTI liable for circumstances beyond its control (mechanical failures, strikes, etc.)
or for acts of God (weather, natural disasters,etc) Each participant acknowledges that neither KTI nor its agents have made any representation or promise
with respect to the arrangements described except as expressly setforth in KTI’s literature, unless such agreement is in writing and signed by an officer of
KTI. KTI reserves the right to decline, for any lawful reason, to accept or retain any person as a participant on a trip (or option), whereupon KTI’s only
obligation shall be to refund to such person that portion or payment allowable to the unused services.
