They may refer to manuals, codes of practice, or policy statements. Drop-off area refers to the place where members of the public and/or commercial operators bring resources for recycling or processing at a resource recovery facility. Resource recovery facility refers to a facility that receives materials from the waste stream for resource recovery, treatment, or disposal. Terms used to describe such facilities include resource recovery park, transfer station, and recycling centre. These facilities accept materials from the public and/or commercial collections. Evidence requirements 1.1 Customer service is monitored to ensure that customers are greeted in a timely and positive manner and assisted in allocating resources to designated areas of the facility in accordance with company procedures. 1.2 Customer service is monitored to ensure that customers are informed of site requirements for safety, access, charges, and where to place resources in accordance with legislation and company procedures. Outcome 2 Supervise operations in a drop-off area at a resource recovery facility. Evidence requirements 2.1 Knowledge and understanding of the technical competencies of staff and core processes required by the facility are demonstrated. 2.2 Inspection, maintenance, and operation of equipment and machinery are supervised and reported in accordance with company procedures. Range 2.3 all equipment and machinery at the workplace that is required to be operated and/or supervised by the supervisor. Public access areas are supervised to ensure safe and efficient operations. Range includes but is not limited to – site traffic, turnaround times, obstructions and litter, signage and/or cones. Range 2.5 Compliance with emergency procedures in the event of a spillage of hazardous waste is supervised in accordance with legislation and company procedures. 2.6 The deposit and containment of resources in places designated by signage is supervised in accordance with company procedures.
