The Editor-in-Chief and editors must exclude themselves from the review of any manuscript that might involve a conflict of interest or the appearance thereof. To this end, PEA editors will disclose to the Editor-in-Chief any conflicts of interest that make their knowledge of the information included in the manuscript inappropriate. The editing process rests on the assumption that all manuscripts will be treated by the assigned editor and Editor-in-Chief as privileged information; therefore, the editors will not use knowledge of the work to further their own interests. By signing this agreement, the authors verify that the work to be edited is their own and all other sources have been cited accordingly. The PEA reserves the right to refuse to edit any manuscripts that do not meet the criteria stated. On submission of a manuscript, authors may disqualify potential reviewers of the Postdoctoral Editors Association. Authors are encouraged to recommend to the Editor-in-Chief specific PEA editors whose scientific background allows them to thoroughly review the manuscript.
