3-1.Making Friends
When you first come to Joetsu, two of the things that will make your
life easier and more enjoyable are learning Japanese and meeting new
friends you can talk to. Won’t you consider taking part in Japanese
lessons? There are several organizations which support foreign
residents and international exchange. If you take part in some of the
events they sponsor, you will surely make new contacts and meet new
friends.
1 Japanese Lessons
Classes in Japanese language and culture are offered for foreign
nationals living in Joetsu. There are many classes offered, from
beginning level to advanced. People from many countries who have the
same interest in Japanese study together.
