Objectives: At the end of this presentation audience members will be able to: 1) discuss the unique developmental,
regulatory, and medical systems issues that impact treatment approaches to very young children with severe
psychopathology; 2) describe the limits of the evidence base supporting use of medications in treating very young
children; 3) identify the assessment, treatment and monitoring recommendations for commonly seen preschool
psychiatric disorders.
