Rain stops first qualifying round of Fall Nationals
Rain at the Texas Motorplex forced NHRA officials to cancel Friday’s two qualifying
sessions of the AAA Texas Fall Nationals, keeping the Torrence Racing/Capco
Contractors Inc. Top Fuel teams of Steve and Billy Torrence on the sidelines.
If Saturday’s warm weather forecasts are correct, qualifying should resume under warm
sunny skies with a slight chance of showers followed by a warm, sunny Sunday.
