For our client, a biotechnology company, we are looking for an:
(Associate) Scientist Protein Production &
Profiling (M/F)
Our client is active in the domain of antibodies and is based in Flanders, Belgium.
Function Details:

Manage a small team of Research Associates. Supervise the experimental design, the data
interpretation and documentation related to small-scale production, purification and Q control of
Nanobodies in medium throughput for in vitro testing.
Communicate experimental results at project and team meetings. Represent the team within
therapeutic project teams.
Contribute to the development of technology and make suggestions and assessments for new
approaches and methodologies.
Senior candidates should take up an important role in the coordination of therapeutic and
technology project related activities and should contribute to the design of the experimental
strategy within the Discovery phase.
Preparations of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Requirements:
•

•
PhD in biochemistry, biotechnology or equivalent.
Very good knowledge of molecular biology and protein sciences.
In depth and hands-on experience in recombinant protein production and purification.
Proficiency in using automated systems like e.g. AKTA.
Experience in the physico-chemical characterization of proteins is a plus.
