Animals can be either vertebrates or invertebrates:

Vertebrate animals have a backbone or spine.

They are classified into 5 groups: Reptiles, amphibians, mammals; birds and fish.

Normally, they have head, trunk and limbs. Inside, they have an internal skeleton

Invertebrate animals don’t have a backbone or spine.

They are classified into 6 groups: Sponges, jellyfish, molluscs, Echinoderms; arthropods and Worms.

Some of them have shell (or outer skeleton), but they don’t have an
