 Invitation
The purpose of this series of symposiums is to exchange and discuss
new ideas and new findings in various areas of polymer physics.
Following the outstanding success of the previous six symposiums, this
symposium will be the seventh one co-organized by the State Key
Laboratory of Polymer Physics and Chemistry of China, University of
Massachusetts, USA, Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research,
Germany and Hokkaido University, Japan. We warmly welcome polymer
scientists and engineers around the world to join us and we believe that
your participation will be a great contribution toward the success of
PP’2006, Suzhou.

 Scientific Program
The symposium will focus on all aspects of polymer physics
including
1 Structure and dynamics of polymers
2 Surface and interface of polymers
3 Polymer solution, gels and complex fluids
4 Bio-related and self-assemble polymers
5 Polymer for electronics, photonics and high-performance
6 Polymer matrix composites
7 Theory, calculation and modeling of polymers
 Registration and Submission
USD 400 for each participant covers full scientific activities, all the
printed materials of the symposium, meals, reception, banquet, one and
half day tours around Suzhou.
USD 250 for each accompanying person covers meals, reception,
banquet, one and half day tours around Suzhou.
Those who intend to join the symposium are required to complete the
attached Pre-registration Form and return to Secretariat by e-mail or
post mail before December 15, 2005. The abstracts are required not
longer than 2 pages of A4 sheet through e-mail or by post mail before
March 15, 2006.
 Symposium venue and Accommodation
Suzhou Hotel () located in downtown of Suzhou city has
been selected as the symposium and accommodation venue. The rate of a
standard room is USD 55/night including service charge and tax.

 Travel Information
Participants residing outside of china need a visa to attend the
symposium.
Suzhou is located in Eastern China about 85 km west of Shanghai.
The airport shuttle buses from both Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and
Pudong Airport to Suzhou city are available every hour in daytime.
Normal daytime temperature is about 28C during the symposium
time in Suzhou.
 Suzhou (蘇州)
Suzhou is a historical and cultural city with over 2500 year history,
which has been evaluated as one of the top tourist cities of China. Many
Suzhou Classical Gardens were listed as World Cultural Heritage by
UNESCO.

The invited speakers and other detailed information, Registration
Form, Visa Application Form, Hotel Reservation Form and
Post-symposium Tour Reservation Form will be included in the second
circular and send to you in February 2006.
